Chandler becomes the second fighter this evening to pick up a victory despite missing weight the day prior. Chelsea only missed by a pound, but was forced to forfeit 20 percent of her purse to Nunes in the process. Chandler is from Stockton, California, home of the Diaz brothers, and fights a lot like Nick and Nate. She's big and strong for the division and tries to overwhelm her opponent with physicality. For a good portion of this fight, it worked, although no one would have batted an eye if Nunes earned this decision. A long-time member of the Invicta roster, Chandler has alternated wins and losses in her first three UFC bouts.

A five-fight veteran of Invicta, Chandler made her UFC debut this past October and knocked out Julija Stoliarenko in just over four minutes. She found life much more difficult here against a better opponent in Dumont. Chandler got blitzed with a combination right off the hop and actually turned and ran away to the opposite corner of the Octagon in order to remain upright. It looked ridiculous in real time, but it may have very well kept her in the fight. Chandler landed a couple big shots the rest of the way, but Dumont was able to drag her to the mat whenever the former seemed to be regaining some momentum. 29 years of age and with all of seven pro fights under her belt, Chandler's upside is extremely limited.
